Beautiful trip! We took the train up and skyrail back - would have liked a little more time option at the top. At the top - restaurant service is very slow. Do not waste time trying to eat if you want to explore the animals.

Train is also good, recommended to travel when it's not too hot so probably select a cloudy day

We chose the heritage seating on the train. Great views of everything you would want to see on this trip. Lots of photo opportunities. Kurunda village has a variety of tourist shops, cafes and restaurants. The skyline was amazing coming down over the treetops.
Its mainly about the journey up and down!

This trip is mainly about the journey there and back. We went up on the sky rail. Sadly not able to stop on the way up due to thunder storms being in the vicinity but the views from the cable car are fabulous and the journey really gives you an appreciation of the size of the rain forest and its differing parts. Kuranda village is nice to wander around with plenty of tourist shops plus places to eat and enjoy. The highlight of the trip though is definitely the train journey back. Absolutely recommend upgrading to Gold class for the journey back with a guaranteed seat and ample food and drink to enjoy on the spectacular journey down. We had a lovely enthusiastic German (?) lady as our guide on the train down, very funny and so full of interesting tit bits.

train and sky rail are good but there is too short time stay in kunada ,we have no much time explore around the town .my timetable is 9:50am took a train,and 1:45 pmtook skyrail and 3:15pm pick up us and go back hotel
