Glide over the worlds oldest rainforest on the magnificent Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and enjoy a fabulous rainforest boardwalk and the views of the spectacular Barron Gorge and Falls as you make your way to the charming rainforest village of Kuranda. Once there choose from a vast array of activities including local markets, arts and crafts, enjoy an encounter with animals or butterflies (fees apply) and enjoy a relaxing lunch (own expense) before joining the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway on a spectacular journey through 15 tunnels and over 37 bridges enjoying magnificent views as you make your way to Freshwater Station to be met and transferred to your hotel, arriving about 4pm.

Michael was extremely communicative both prior and during the tour; there was much uncertainty due to covid, the possibility of Australia not opening to tourists, and the original plan to shut the Skyrail for repairs.
Thankfully the stars aligned and we made it to Cairns!

He was early for the pickup at our hotel, a safe and professional driver, and he also attempted to corral an unruly child so that we could hear his narration. He even picked us up at an alternate train station, as we missed our stop.

Well organized, well planned, scenic and fun!

Great trip on skyrail to Kurunda

We did this trip recently and would highly recommend it if in the cairns area, we were picked up by Michael in the air conditioned transport close to our accommodation this was a godsend as it was very hot. Michael was very friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and funny. We picked other guests and made our way to the skyrail on leaving Michael told us he would text us the meeting arrangements when we got to Freshwater station. Once on the skyrail it was brilliant all the way to Kurunda with a couple of stops for photo opportunities in Kuranda we spend time browsing and enjoying the coffee, cakesand ice cream, we also paid a visit to the koala Park which was good. There are a number of tourist souvenir shops, places to eat and coffee shops with plenty of choice, we enjoyed our time in Kuranda and made our way to meet the 1530 train back to freshwater the train journey explains in detail how this impressive raway was built, the views are impressive. Once back at freshwater we were met by Michael who continued entertain on the journey back. Overall very enjoyable a d highly recommend this trip with Michael.

Well organised trip with a great coordinator

This was a good activity and the skyrail in particular was a great experience. It was all very well organised, making the whole experience extremely smooth. There is plenty to see and do at Kuranda, with specific emphasis on shopping and eating options. Michael is a great coordinator and kept us updated with a string of information even as we travelled to the drop-off point and back. He picked us up from our Airbnb location which was very useful for us.
