What To Expect
Hot Air Balloon Cairns
You will be met by our professional driver at your pickup location to be transferred to your Hot Air Balloon ride.
As the day begins, you will experience a wonderful hot air balloon flight above the Atherton Tablelands, Australia.
After your flight and landing, enjoy games and lots of laughs as your pilot, crew and driver lead the fun of packing up your hot air balloon.
The finish time of your experience varies with the seasons (summer, winter and the time of sunrise). Your driver can drop you off back at your Cairns accommodation or, with prior notice, we can drop you off to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Skyrail, Tjapukai or perhaps a Cairns cafe or restaurant if you would like to have breakfast at your own arrangements.

Atherton Tablelands
The Atherton Tablelands is the area over which we fly our hot air balloons. You will experience this area at dawn - the best time of the day to spot wallabies, kangaroos, many different species of birds, and other wildlife. In addition, you may fly over many different crops as The Tablelands are known for their fruit and vegetable produce. Keep an eye out for crops of mangoes, bananas, lychees, avocados, pineapples, limes and more.

Absolutely amazing. Can’t recommend highly enough. All of the staff are amazing, professional, fun and informative. From Brownie our bus driver to Bob our pilot and all of the other staff they were just the best.

This was an amazing experience and a must do in the Cairns area. The view and feeling is somewhat surreal being at a great hight whilst being completely exposed to the atmosphere. And of course being up in the sky for sunrise is something you need to experience.
Our pilot was very knowledgable about the land below us and was more than happy to answer any questions we had about the balloon itself.
Once back on the ground, we were met by some more extremely friendly staff members, all of who had a playful banter and good natured about them, which meant it was easy to convince us that packing up the balloon itself was an opportunity not to be missed!
So, despite the early morning wake up call, this was an experience not to be missed!

Floating over the surrounds of Cairns was peaceful and a great way to begin our Queensland holiday. The Hot Air team were all professional and provided great commentary during our experience with humour and interesting facts along the journey.
