Just completed my PADI Open Water certification with Divers Den and it was a great experience! I feel totally comfortable with the skills I now have in scuba diving thanks to Jas. She has the patience of a saint and the ability to make people who may be a little apprehensive in the water comfortable. She also gave super clear instructions, was really encouraging to her group of very new divers, and cared about our progression through the course giving extra time to people who needed it. Was overall a really cool experience on the liveaboard!

Great experience that I highly recommend IF you have the budget for it.
The crew members are particularly friendly and helpful (especially Biscuit which had an extra funny touch). You can expect 4 dives of 50 min a day. The food is great ! And the chamber are good.
If you need to pick a dive guide, I recommend Mario which puts lots of effort into showing you as much as possible.
I haven't been on a diving boat before so I lack comparaison refence but I'm more than satisfied with my experience.

My course was sooo good and I had so much fun. My instructor Júlia was amazing. The liveaboard was my favorite part of the whole course. All of the crew on both of the boats were so nice and the service they provide was excellent.
I mean who can say they learned to dive on the Great Barrier Reef?
I’m definitely doing another liveaboard to go diving when I’m back in Cairns!

Unforgettable 4 days

My friend and I took a shared cabin for the 4 day scuba diving learning.
Everything was fantastic.
Food by Adreian was spectacular, the crew was amazing and helpful, Phil and Sarah were very accomodating as boat masters, the Purser, Carla helped us a lot with our dietary restrictions.
The star of the show was Stefan though, spent around 5 days with the guy teaching us all about diving and instilling a lot of good habits, terrific guy, made me lose my mind when he shrank a tomato.
Gotta give kudos to Dani too, lovely man gave nice briefings, and was very patient with us on the way back to our hotel.
4 unforgettable days on Ocean Quest, nice beds, hot shower, the diving gear was on point. Heavily recommend to anyone wanting a dive or snorkel.

Just finished my open water course with Divers Den. It was amazing, the training facility is located perfect in the city. I had such an amazing instructor (Teresa). Her patience, encouragement and caring nature made this course such an easy but fun accomplishment. I did stay over night on the OceanQuest Liveaboad vessel. On my third dive I had a little bit of anxiety and I pulled out and sat on the boat when I then had an amazing and kind instructor (Mar) help me build my confidence, correct my mistakes and calm my unnecessary anxiety. Which then I felt comfortable to jump back in and successfully complete my third dive assessment. The whole crew were down right genuinely nice and went above and beyond. The rooms on OceanQuest were spacious, comfortable and clean. Big shout out to hospitality crew (especially Matteo) who were fantastic with service and looked after every request we made!
Overall could not fault one thing wrong with diversden nor ocean quest liveaboad. If your looking to do your open water course, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5/5
