What To Expect

For those doing the Cruise and Fly option, this will your starting point.
Check-in is at the Great Adventures desk, check-in opens at 09.30 am.

For those doing the fly and cruise or the fly and fly. Check-in will be at Nautilus Aviation half an hour before the departure time. Take to the skies and enjoy the view of the Great Barrier Reef from above, where you will then land on a floating pontoon in the middle of the reef.

Wow! You have to see the reef from the air!

My wife and i came to Cairns to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We thought we would spoil ourselves with a heli ride back from the reef snorkeling trip. It was incredible! I personally always wanted to fly in a chopper and was fortunate enough to be able to sit in the front as there were other passengers on our flight. It lived up to expectations and exceeded them. The pilot was so knowledgeable of the reef as he took is on a guided tour from the sky. A big thank you to the whole team for their professionalism and care making this a lifetime memory my wife and I will never forget.

This was the most amazing experience!! We took the helicopter both to and from the reef and it was the best way to see it. The Great Barrier Reef is a site for sore eyes!! It is spectacular, beautiful and picturesque. The best view of it is from above!! Well worth spending that little bit extra. We will be doing this again when we return in 6 months

Listening and learning about the flight paths and airport requirements. The whole experience was awesome. Johno our pilot was very knowledgeable and experienced, we felt safe the whole trip.

The Helicopter and the reef were amazing and the staff were really good. Did feel quite rushed to do everything on the reef and the food was not the best.
