Lots of fun and enjoyable , very well organised with friendly staff. We split our day on 2 and the team were more than helpful.
5 star experience

Full day on the water, loads of laughs and smiles all round. The team for tubing Jess, Jazzy and Keanu were awesome made us feel comfortable the whole day.

Special shout out to Jack-21. I was terrified of white water rafting and he created a fun, crazy experience that I’ll never forget, absolute legend
Great time, would recommend.

I was surprised to find river tubing required a lot more effort than white water rafting. My body ached for a couple days from river tubing because it worked out muscles I haven't used in years. White water rafting I found relatively easy, a more exciting version of kyaking. The rapids weren't scary at all so perfect for a first timer. The your guides were really lovely and helpful. They know how to make the most out of the day.

When booking just make sure to remember to let the second tour know you already paid for the river levy. Keep in mind river tubing drops you off at your hotel for lunch and the next tour picks you up later.
Great morning.

Thoroughly enjoyed the half day Tubing, recommend this experience.
Tour with Jordan & Olivia, informative and friendly staff.
Second part of the day eclipses the first.

I have previously and separately reviewed the excellent half of the day that was White Water Rafting, but the tubing was.. not un-fun, just not great.

Not a huge amount of water going through at the time I was there, but from other reviews that does not seem to matter. We were on the Tour for about 3 hours and literally (I timed it) 37 minutes was spent in the water. Lots of waiting once we arrived at the drop off point (we self drove and waited at the depot for the bus to finish picking up folk form hotels). Drive out to the drop off was fine but them we waited about 40 mins in blistering heat for the rest of the buses to arrive. The braver among us jumped off the bridge a few times while waiting. Then we hauled our deflating tubes overland to the starting point (quite a long way upriver over rocky terrain, but not as arduous as other reviews led me to believe it was going to be). We then tubed down the river, dragging my skinny butt over every rock on the bottom of the river (again very low water levels hard for staff to fix but you could cancel until there is more water guys). Tubed back to the bridge where for another 40 mins, there was nothing to do but jump or watch those brave enough to jump.

Then you tube again for like 300 m down the river to dad's rapids, hit the rope, get out, drag your tube over big and small rocks to the second start point and do that same stretch again like 3 times then go home.

Once you are actually drifting in your tube, and if you manage to to impale your buttocks or hips on bloody great rocks sticking out all over the place, it is actually a fair amount of fun, but its repetitious and repetitious (says the New York Times).

Guides are Jolly and safety conscious and quite prepared to do whatever is needed to help you out, couldn't fault them or their professional behaviour or enthusiasm, but the trip itself needs re-thinking. Do the white water rafting bit though, that is as good a time as you will have in Cairns, or go River Drift Snorkelling, that was a whale of a time too, but again water levels were very low at the time I was there.
