The 40 minute Great Barrier Reef Flight is the perfect way to see and gain a full appreciation of the immensity of the Great Barrier Reef. The best time to fly is between 09:30 a.m. and 02:30 p.m. to see the wonderful colours of the Great Barrier Reef. The 30 minute flight is adequate to gain a feel for the size and structure of the Great Barrier Reef, the 40 minute flight adds that little bit more for those wanting to snap those extra few pics to their portfolio.

The experienced team will advise you on the optimum time for viewing and photographing the the magnificent aqua blue and opal like colors of the Great Barrier Reef. Flights organised between 9:30am and 2:30pm will always be premium times to fly due to the sun being at the best angle overhead the reef. The route flown will usually take in Green Island, Upolu Cay, Oyster, Arlington, Vlassof and Michaelmas Reefs as well as views of Cape Grafton, False Cape, Double Island and the Northern Beaches of Cairns including Palm Cove.

An amazing experience! We flew today and weren’t sure what we would see as it was overcast but as soon as we got over the reef the views where incredible. Clearest blue seas, turtles and more. Chris was a fantastic pilot and the whole experience couldn’t have been better! Would highly recommend. We did the 40 minute flight and hope to come back to do the lizard island day trip!
Booked this as an experience for partner as she had a day in Cairns. She absolutely loved it and was beaming from ear to ear an experience she will never forget. The staff and the communication were first class.
Very accommodating team. My scenic flight was scheduled for 11am as my domestic flight into Cairns landed at 8am and wanted time in between in case of flight delays. There were no flight delays. I called to ask whether there was a place to put our luggage while we embarked on the scenic tour. The owner was really accommodating and not only allowed us to store our luggage at the venue, but also rescheduled our flight to an earlier one so that we didn't have to linger in the airport for so long. The weather wasn't looking too good at around mid-day and the ideal weather was at 9am and we were reschedule for this time. When we arrived, we were immediately put onto the plane - no waiting around. The staff were all very friendly. The flight experience itself was amazing. This is my first time on a scenic flight and the experience wasn't too different from the larger jets. The views were stunning. The pilot (Chris) flew around Green Island and gave both sides of the plane the opportunity to take photos. I was grateful for the consideration of those sitting on opposite sides. He gave a few commentary on the reefs we flew over. It looks surreal. The weather was a bit misty and I couldn't distinguish between the clouds and skyline from the ocean sometimes. After our tour, there was a coach to the city for $5 per person. Was really grateful for this as well.
